X magazine contents page The contents page for this magazine is divided up into several sections both, vertically and horizontally, on the first sections on the top we see the X logo which is on the left hand side the most dominant this reminds the reader of the magazine their reading. We can also see the words ‘hello’ in a big blue font which stands out against the white background and the rest of the black text it makes the reader feel welcomed and want ot read on as they are being greeted. On the right hand side we can see a fun picture of someone jumping on a bed with a orange background which brings some colour into the contents page and orange was used in the front cover as well showing its keeping to an order. IN the middle section we can see mainly writing and there are small things that break up the boring black font on white background for example the ‘Rihanna’ which is scribbled in a note form and slanted this shows the reader that the magazine is going to include some famous stars in without them reading all of it. You can also see a bold subheading in red of ‘features’ which breaks your eyes away from the writing. The third section at the bottom focuses on Robbie William’s picture and a subheading of top 50 to draw attraction to something different. On the Left hand side vertically is the introduction to what’s in this week’s magazine, in the middle section is different colours including blues and reds which bullet point what’s in this week’s magazine and this is easier for the reader to read rather than read the whole other side. On the right hand side is pictures which again draw the reader’s eyes away. The contents page has a lot of things going on just like the font cover it makes it interesting and not boring for the reader.

The primary optical area focuses on, ‘Features’ this makes it the main focus the most important part as its where the eye is immediately attracted to so the featured articles are placed here as they are what make up the magazine and keep readers interested and they are listed in short bullet points.

The fonts used are san serif which makes the writing and magazine clear and easy to read.
Most of the same colours for the front cover are used for the contents page which are white and black, these colours contrast each other making them stand out against each other.
