Top of the pops double page spread 2
This is an Top of the pop’s double page spread of ‘The wanted’, it’s very cleverly laid out as they have one picture but its spread over both pages and as the background with the text on top this is a good technique as the reader gets to see the picture at all times even whilst reading, but it could cause distraction from the writing. The masthead is ‘behind bars’ and the magazine have played on words using bars in their picture. The picture is slightly on the right so whilst flicking threw the magazine the reader would see the picture and stop to read it. The title ‘behind bars’ makes the reader think their getting access to new information.

The bands appearance is very boyish of striped and checked t-shirts which attract the reader as it shows their fashionable and ‘cool’. The text is in black on a white background and the questions were clearly in red this makes it easier and clearer to read.

Quotes from the band are on the second page where the picture is and there in speech bubbles near their heads this breaks the text up and makes it more interesting.

The mode of address is informal which matches with the style of the band as their picture is relaxed their all smiling to attract the read and look like their having fun which make the read enjoyable and light hearted.
