NME contents
The contents page is ordered just like the front cover with cover lines on the left and right and the main attraction in the centre.
The contents page has lots of images all of major bands, this makes the magazine relatable as it’s about music and the reader is buying it because it’s a music magazine.
The language used is slang there is swearing which relates to younger generation and this is what makes the reader like the magazine for example ‘selfish bastards Mumford and sons head up our T in the park preview’ other slang words like ‘chinned’, pissed’ are used all trying to relate to the reader.
The contents page for NME also is divided up into three sections horizontally and vertically on the left and right hand side of the magazine is the index to the main pages each index has a quote from the story and a picture of the featuring band this is useful as you can look at the images and read your favourite band first. In the middle and the optical area is a bigger index for the band ‘Mumford and sons’ this is the biggest story in the magazine so they’ve centred it so the reader knows.  ‘Inside this week’ runs along the top and is also centred and this is very bold this is because its the latest news this week its new and its expressing that to the reader, the date is also displayed under the masthead so it shows what week it was written and so the reader knows the news is new.

The fonts used are san serif which makes the writing and magazine clear and easy to read.
Most of the same colours for the front cover are used for the contents page which are white and black, these colours contrast each other making them stand out against each other.
